Equity is a fundamental property of Australian higher education associated with billions in public investment. Too often however, equity is not fully integrated in higher education performance and accountability systems. After exploring equity performance and accountability through a National Centre for Student Equity in Higher Education 2017 Equity Fellowship attention has been turned to how equity fits within institutional governance, standards compliance and quality systems. This lightening talk highlights key findings of the 2017 Equity Fellowship and the process by which key findings are being integrated into Deakin University quality management processes.
