Janet Verbyla
With a professional background in information and software engineering, Janet has over two decades in university executive and management roles She has expertise and extensive experience across governance, strategy and management, specifically in higher education. An on-going interest is how information systems may be designed to support key functions in these areas. For instance, Janet has been involved since (her) conception of it with a system for academic workload management. She also conceptualised and developed a critical design component for a system to manage the mapping of units to the awards in which they are components. Janet is currently on the board of a software spin-off that focusses on the provision of software for research management. Previously she has designed information systems for the management of experimental data in a range of areas ranging from arts history to wheat breeding. Janet is a TEQSA expert and chairs computing program accreditations.
